The Youth for Climate Action E-learning program is a free, open-access course developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Eco House Global. It is designed for the next generation of children, teenagers, and especially young people across the globe to help them understand the core concepts of climate change and explore how they can take action and advocate for change from within civil society. The course supports their growth as emerging climate leaders.

The course was developed by Eco House Global with support from UNDP and its Learning for Nature platform, in collaboration with several strategic partners. These institutions have extensive experience designing and implementing training programs and other educational outreach.

This course builds on that experience, bringing together these institutions to offer a free and comprehensive program created by youth from civil society for youth in civil society. It provides a nonpartisan learning space with a pluralistic and inclusive approach.

This course also connects biodiversity policymakers, changemakers, and on-the-ground experts to promote conservation and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With a focus on the 2030 Agenda, it offers a wide range of digital learning opportunities to strengthen nature-based sustainable development efforts.

What This Course Actually Offers (And Why It Stands Out)?

Unlike traditional environmental courses that lean heavily on theory, this program blends science, policy, and activism into a compact, accessible format, and here’s what makes it worth your attention:

  • 100% Free and Open Access: no fees, no institutional barriers
  • Self-Paced Learning: complete it anytime, anywhere
  • Globally Recognized Backing: developed under UNDP’s Learning for Nature platform
  • Multilingual Access: available in English and Spanish
  • Certificate of Completion: valuable for CVs, scholarship applications, and internships

But the real differentiator? It doesn’t just teach climate change, it shows you how to act within the system.
