The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced a two-day mid-term break for all public basic schools across the country.
According to the service, the mid-term break will be observed on Monday, June 8, 2026, and Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
The break applies to pupils and students in all public basic schools and forms part of the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic year.
School authorities, parents, guardians, and learners are advised to take note of the dates and make the necessary arrangements.
Teaching and learning activities are expected to resume immediately after the break in accordance with the academic calendar.
The Ghana Education Service periodically schedules mid-term breaks to provide learners and teachers with a short period of rest while ensuring the smooth implementation of academic activities throughout the school year.
