The Governing Council of Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P.) College of Education, Amedzofe is inviting applications from suitably qualified and competent persons for the position of Principal of E. P. College of Education, Amedzofe.
The principal is the Chief Executive Officer of the College and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, academic and administrative direction for the smooth operation of the College.
Duties and Responsibilities.
The successful applicant shall:
- Provide leadership for the achievement of the College’s vision and mission;
- Oversee the administration of academic programmes and ensure quality teacher education;
- Ensure high academic standards and quality assurance;
- Supervise curriculum development and programme accreditation;
- Promote innovation in teaching methods and educational delivery;
- Manage human, financial, and material resources of the College;
- Promote research, innovation, and community engagement;
- Ensure discipline and compliance with statutes, policies, and regulations;
- Represent the College in all official matters.
Qualifications and Experience.
The applicant must:
- Be a distinguished scholar;
- Be of a Professorial rank;
- Have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or equivalent qualification in the relevant area of specialization;
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years teaching and research experience;
- A minimum of five (5) years in a senior management position;
- Show evidence of scholarly research and publications;
- Possess strong leadership, administrative, and communicative skills;
- Demonstrate the ability to foster partnership with stakeholders both within and outside Ghana;
- Have experience in resource mobilization and fund raising;
- Have the ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources of the College;
- Be capable of inspiring staff and students;
- Be of high moral value and integrity;
Terms of Appointment.
- The appointment is for a term of four (4)-years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance for another four (4)-year term only.
- Salary is attractive and is in accordance with the public University pay structure. Additionally, there is a Conditions of Service for Principals of the Colleges of Education.
