Are you finding it difficult to renew your National Teaching Council (NTC) professional teaching licence? Have you been trying to access your account without success?
If so, kindly read this guide carefully and follow the steps below to complete your licence renewal.
- Visit the NTC Teacher Portal: Go to the official Teacher Portal Ghana website: https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh/ Since you have already been enrolled in the system, you do not need to create a new account. Select the Login option instead of Sign Up.
- Reset Your Password: If you cannot remember your previous password or are unable to access your account, select the Forgot Password option on the login page.
Enter the required details and submit your request. An OTP or password reset code will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
Check your email, retrieve the code, and follow the instructions to reset your password. You can then use your new password to log in.
- Complete or Update Your Personal Information: After successfully logging in, follow the instructions on the portal to complete the required sections of your profile.
You may be asked to provide or update information such as:
- Personal details.
- Contact information.
- Academic qualifications.
- Employment status.
- Other relevant professional information.
Ensure that all the information you provide is accurate and corresponds with your official documents.
- Select the Correct Employment Status: If you are employed by the Ghana Education Service (GES) but have not yet received your Staff ID, select the Unemployed option when completing the employment section, as indicated in this guide.
The absence of a Staff ID does not necessarily mean that you are no longer employed. However, ensure that you follow the portal’s instructions and update your employment details when the necessary information becomes available.
- Prepare and Upload Your Required Documents: You will need your personal information and relevant academic documents to complete the process.
The documents and information may include:
- Academic certificates.
- Your degree certificate, which serves as your professional qualification certificate for this process.
- Other required personal and professional information.
Ensure that all documents are properly scanned and saved in PDF format before uploading them.
Check each document carefully to ensure that it is clear, readable, and uploaded under the correct section.
- Set Up Your Professional Teaching Licence: After completing the required sections and uploading your documents, the system should allow you to proceed to the licence setup stage.
Follow the instructions on the portal to set up your professional teaching licence.
The indicated renewal fee is GH¢200. Proceed to the payment stage and complete the transaction using the payment options provided on the portal.
- Wait for Payment Confirmation and Processing: After making payment, allow some time for the transaction to be verified and reflected on the portal.
Do not panic if your payment does not reflect immediately. Payment verification and processing may take some time.
Keep your payment confirmation or receipt for reference. Continue checking your account for updates on the status of your licence renewal.
