SDA College of Education Announces Teaching and Non-Teaching Job Vacancies 2026.

 

The SDA College of Education has announced vacancies for both teaching and non-teaching staff as part of efforts to strengthen its academic and administrative workforce.

The College is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill several lecturer and administrative positions. Interested applicants are required to submit their applications on or before Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

According to the vacancy announcement, successful applicants will join the institution in its mission to provide quality teacher education and contribute to the development of professional teachers for Ghana’s education sector.

TEACHING VACANCIES (LECTURER POSITIONS)

The College is seeking qualified lecturers in the following subject areas:

Education (Guidance and Counselling)

Applicants must:

  • Hold a PhD in Guidance and Counselling.
  • Have served as a lecturer in a College of Education or a recognized analogous institution for at least two years.
  • Possess a PGDE certificate if their academic background is not in Education.
  • Candidates currently pursuing a PhD may also be considered.

Languages

Ghanaian Language (Asante Twi)

Applicants must:

  • Hold a PhD in Ghanaian Language (Asante Twi).
  • Have at least two years of teaching experience at a College of Education or similar institution.
  • Possess a PGDE certificate if they did not pursue an education programme.
  • Candidates currently pursuing a PhD may be considered.

English Language

Applicants must:

  •     Hold a PhD in English Language.
  •     Have at least two years of relevant teaching experience.
  •     Possess a PGDE certificate where applicable.
  •     Candidates on a PhD programme may also apply.

Social Sciences (Geography)

Applicants must:

  • Hold a PhD in Geography.
  • Have served as a lecturer in a College of Education or recognized analogous institution for at least two years.
  • Possess a PGDE certificate if their academic qualification is not in Education.
  • Candidates pursuing a PhD may be considered.

Non-Teaching Vacancies.

The College is also recruiting qualified personnel for the following administrative and support positions:

Position and Qualification Requirements

Senior Administrative Assistant

  • First Degree from a recognized institution with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Applicant must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and ICT skills.

Senior Estate Management Assistant    

  • First Degree in Estate Management, Land Economy, or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of property management and maintenance supervision is required.

Senior Porter    

  • First Degree from a recognized institution with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in accommodation services, security support, or institutional support services will be an advantage.

Driver II               

  • Minimum of a valid Driver’s Licence D.
  • BECE, GCE O’ Level, WASSCE, or SSSCE qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Applicant must have experience in driving, vehicle maintenance, and repairs.

Required Application Documents

Applicants are required to submit:

  • Cover letter indicating the position being applied for.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Certified true copies of academic certificates and transcripts.
  • GTEC certificate evaluation report.
  • Other relevant supporting documents.
  • Sealed recommendation letters from two referees listed on the CV.
