The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has opened applications for admission into its undergraduate and top-up programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to the university, the first semester of the academic year is scheduled to begin on October 13, 2026.

Prospective applicants are therefore encouraged to begin the admission process early and follow the official procedures outlined by the university.

Application Forms and Purchase Channels

Application e-vouchers are available through authorised outlets across the country and online platforms.

Applicants are advised to purchase forms only through authorised channels to avoid fraudulent transactions.

Application Processing Fees

Basic Entry Requirements

Applicants may apply using one of the following qualifications:

WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants

• Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science
• Credit passes in three elective subjects
• Aggregate score of 24 or better in the relevant programme

GBCE/ABCE Applicants

• Six credit passes, including English Language and Business Mathematics, at GBCE level
• Credit passes in three compulsory and three optional subjects at ABCE level

GCE Advanced Level Applicants

• Five credit passes at GCE O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics
• At least three passes in relevant subjects at Advanced Level

Mature Applicants

• Must be at least 25 years old at the time of application
• Must provide proof of age with a birth certificate or a valid document
• Must also meet minimum academic requirements and pass an entrance examination or interview

International Applicants

• Applicants with equivalent qualifications from recognised institutions may apply.

Application Process

All applicants must complete the admission process online after purchasing the e-voucher. Applicants are required to:

• Register with a valid email address on the KNUST admission portal at https://apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions/apply
• Validate the voucher purchased
• Complete and submit the online application form
• Upload required documents such as birth certificate, academic certificates, and results slips

Applicants are advised to print a copy of the completed application form for their records.

Application Deadlines

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology emphasised that admission decisions are handled solely by the Central Undergraduate Admissions Committee and warned applicants not to attempt to influence the admission process through unofficial channels.
