Jasikan College of Education in the Oti Region of the Republic of Ghana is a tertiary teacher-training institution affiliated with the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana.
The College is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for recruitment as follows:
- Lecturer in Guidance and Counselling: Department of Education.
- Lecturer in Physics (Education): Department of Sciences.
- Lecturer in Mathematics (Education): Department of Mathematics and Computer Studies.
- Lecturer in Twi: Department of Languages.
- Lecturer in Social Sciences: Department of Arts and Social Sciences.
- Lecturer in Visual Arts: Department of Creative Arts and Vocational Studies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- PHD, MPhil. /Research Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in the relevant course/subject area.
- Possession of a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is mandatory for applicants without a certificate in Education.
- Evidence of 3 years of teaching experience in a College of Education or University, or an analogous institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching assigned courses
- Giving and marking students’ assignments, and setting questions.
- Supervising STS students
- Invigilating during examinations and marking scripts
- Research, publication, and supervising project work
- Contributing to departmental administration
- Any other duties assigned by the principal
