Ibrahim Mahama Offers Support to Young Ghanaian AI Innovator.

Businessman and founder of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, has pledged to support the innovation journey of young Ghanaian technology developer, Naamgwinaa Samuel, whose artificial intelligence (AI) projects have attracted widespread public attention.

The announcement was made by Ibrahim Mahama’s Special Aide, Rafik Mahama, in a Facebook post on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

According to Rafik Mahama, he reached out to the young innovator on behalf of the businessman to express his commitment to supporting his efforts in developing AI-powered solutions.

“On behalf of Mr Ibrahim Mahama, I reached out this morning to young innovator Naamgwinaa Samuel to express our intention of supporting his remarkable innovation journey,” he wrote.

He commended Samuel for using artificial intelligence to develop practical solutions to real-world challenges, describing his work as an example of the potential of Ghanaian innovation.

“Samuel has developed several AI-powered innovations aimed at solving real-world challenges and making life easier through technology. We believe this support and encouragement will empower him to advance his work, develop even more groundbreaking solutions, and create technologies that make a lasting impact in Ghana and beyond,” the post stated.

Rafik Mahama also praised the young innovator’s creativity and determination, noting that innovation flourishes when talent is supported and encouraged.

“Every great innovation begins with someone who dares to dream and with others who believe in that vision. Samuel, thank you for your passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to shaping a better future through innovation. We look forward to seeing your ideas transform lives and inspire the next generation of innovators,” he added.

Naamgwinaa Samuel recently showcased one of his latest AI-powered inventions—a humanoid-inspired smartphone stand designed to hold a mobile phone while interacting with users in a conversational, human-like manner.

As part of the prototype’s design, the device features Ibrahim Mahama’s name, a concept Samuel said blends innovation, technology and creativity. He explained that the inscription “NaSaT” on the device represents Naamgwinaa Samuel Technologies.

The young innovator’s AI projects have generated significant interest on social media, with many Ghanaians praising his ingenuity and calling for greater support for local technology talent.
