GETFund 2026/2027 Postgraduate Local Scholarship Applications.

 

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has announced that applications for its Postgraduate Local Scholarship programme for the 2026/2027 academic year are now open.

The scholarship is available to eligible Ghanaian students pursuing Master’s and PhD programmes and provides financial support for postgraduate education.

Applications will open on Monday, October 5, 2026, and close on Friday, November 27, 2026.

Interested applicants are required to complete the application process online through the official GETFund Scholarship Portal.

How to Apply for the GETFund Postgraduate Local Scholarship

Applicants are required to complete the following steps through the official scholarship portal:

Visit the GETFund Scholarship Portal:

Create an account or log in:

  • Follow the instructions on the portal to create an applicant account or log in if an account already exists.

Select the Postgraduate Local Scholarship:

  • Choose the Postgraduate Local Scholarship option for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Complete the application form:

  • Provide all required personal, academic, and programme information accurately.

Upload supporting documents:

  • Scan and upload the relevant supporting documents required by GETFund for the vetting and shortlisting process.
  • Applicants should ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and legible.

Review the application:

  • Carefully check all information entered into the application form and confirm that the required documents have been attached before submission.

Submit the application:

  • Submit the completed application through the official GETFund Scholarship Portal.

Keep your application details:

  • Applicants are advised to retain their application details and any confirmation or reference information generated after submission for future reference.

Await vetting and shortlisting:

  • GETFund will conduct the necessary vetting and shortlisting processes. Applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted by the Fund.

GETFund has advised prospective applicants to review the full eligibility requirements, application guidelines, and supporting-document requirements available on the scholarship portal before submitting their applications.

The Fund has also stressed that applications must be submitted only through the official GETFund Scholarship Portal. Applications submitted through any other channel will not be processed.

All official correspondence regarding scholarship applications will be conducted directly between GETFund and the respective applicants.

Eligible Ghanaian students pursuing Master’s and PhD programmes are encouraged to complete their applications within the application period and submit all required information and documents before the Friday, November 27, 2026 deadline.
