GETFund 2026/2027 Undergraduate Local Scholarship; Ghana

 

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has announced the opening of applications for its Undergraduate Local Scholarship programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The scholarship opportunity is open to eligible Ghanaian students pursuing Diploma, Higher National Diploma (HND), and Degree programmes at accredited tertiary institutions in Ghana.

Applications will officially open on Monday, October 5, 2026, and close on Friday, November 27, 2026.

Interested applicants are required to complete the application process online through the official GETFund Scholarship Portal.

How to Apply for the GETFund Undergraduate Local Scholarship

Applicants are required to follow the online application process through the official GETFund Scholarship Portal.

Visit the official GETFund Scholarship Portal:

  • Go to scholarships.getfund.gov.gh to access the scholarship application platform.

Create an account or log in:

  • Follow the instructions on the portal to create an applicant account or log in if an account is already available.

Select the Undergraduate Local Scholarship:

  • Select the Undergraduate Local Scholarship option for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Complete the online application form:

  • Provide all the required personal, academic, and programme information accurately. Applicants should ensure that the information provided corresponds with their official records.

Upload supporting documents:

  • Applicants must scan and upload the relevant supporting documents required by GETFund for the vetting process. Documents should be clear and legible.

Review the application:

  • Applicants should carefully check all information entered and ensure that all required documents have been uploaded before submitting the application.

Submit the application online:

  • After completing the form and reviewing the information, submit the application through the scholarship portal.

Keep records of the application:

  • Applicants are advised to keep their application details and any confirmation or reference information generated after submission for future reference.

Wait for vetting and shortlisting:

  • GETFund will review applications through its vetting and shortlisting processes. Applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted by the Fund.

 

GETFund has advised applicants to carefully review the eligibility requirements, application guidelines, and documentation requirements provided on the scholarship portal before submitting their applications.

The Fund has also stressed that applications must be submitted only through the official GETFund Scholarship Portal. Applications submitted through other channels will not be processed.

All official correspondence regarding scholarship applications will be conducted directly between GETFund and the respective applicants.

Eligible Ghanaian students are therefore encouraged to complete their applications within the official application window and submit all required information and documents before the Friday, November 27, 2026 deadline.
