University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences Invites Applications for Vacant Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Positions.

The University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences (UEAS) is a newly established public university established by the University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences (UEAS) Act 2026 (ACT 1169) with a mandate to provide education in Engineering, Agriculture, Agro-entrepreneurship, emerging digital disciplines and the built environment, located in Bunso in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the following non-academic positions:

1.0 REGISTRAR’S OFFICE VACANCIES

POSITIONS QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
ASSISTANT REGISTRAR A candidate for appointment as Assistant Registrar must possess a Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications. A candidate with a professional qualification must be a member of a professional body and must have TWO years post-qualification experience in Administration and/or management.
SENIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR A candidate for appointment as Senior Assistant Registrar must possess a Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications as in (a).

The applicant must have served as an Assistant Registrar with a minimum of FOUR years of experience in university administration or a similar position in an analogous institution

JUNIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR A candidate for appointment as Junior Assistant Registrar must possess a relevant Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications as in (a).
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management applications.

Good communication, interpersonal, and records management skills.

Relevant working experience shall be an advantage.

Some appointments may require a final examinations Certificate of any of the following Professional Bodies, in addition to the Master’s degree

Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA);

Barrister at Law (B.L.) and its equivalent;

Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR):

Any other relevant Professional Body Relevant working experience shall be an advantage.

 2.0 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICE VACANCIES

POSITIONS QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
DIRECTOR OF IT A candidate seeking appointment as Director of IT must possess a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or any relevant Master’s Degree and a professional qualification (Final Examinations Certificate of any relevant Professional Bodies). The candidate must have TWO years of post-qualification experience
SYSTEMS ANALYST A candidate seeking appointment as a Systems Analyst must possess a Master’s degree in information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or any relevant Master’s Degree and a professional qualification as in (a). The candidate must have TWO years of post-qualification experience.
SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYST A candidate seeking appointment as Senior Systems Analyst must possess a Master’s degree in Information Technology. Engineering, Computer Science, or any relevant Master’s Degree and a professional qualification as in (a). The candidate must have served as a Systems Analyst and also have a minimum of FOUR years of relevant post-qualification experience in Systems Administration and/or Management.
COMPUTER LABORATORY TECHNICIAN HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Professional certifications such as Cisco (CCNA), CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux, or equivalent shall be an advantage.

Experience in computer laboratory management, networking, and systems maintenance shall be an advantage.

 3.0 TECHNICIANS

POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
SERVICES ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience in maintenance and operations.

Knowledge of engineering systems and procedures.

ENGINEERING LABORATORY TECHNICIAN Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical, Bachelor’s in Industrial Laboratory Engineering, Materials Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience in laboratory equipment maintenance and workshop operations.

Knowledge of engineering laboratory safety procedures.

ENGINEERING WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN (MACHINIST) Certificate, or equivalent HND, Craft Certificate, Technician Certificate, or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Welding, Fabrication, Machining, or related area.

Practical experience in machine shop operations and fabrication works.

AGRICULTURAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Crop Science, Animal Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Industrial Laboratory Technology, or related fields

Experience in agricultural laboratory operations and field experimentation shall be an advantage.

FARM TECHNICIAN HND, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science, Crop Science, Horticulture, or related field.

Demonstrated practical experience in crop production, livestock management, mitigation systems, farm machinery operation, and farm records management.

Knowledge of modern agricultural technologies shall be an advantage.

SENIOR FARM TECHNICIAN Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering.

Animal Science, Crop Science, Horticulture, or related field.

Minimum of four (4) years of relevant post-qualification experience in farm management and agricultural production systems.

 4.0 UNIVERSITY LIBRARY VACANCIES

POSITION QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
LIBRARIAN

 

A candidate seeking appointment as Librarian must possess a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies/Library Studies/Information Science or a related field and must be a member of a recognized professional body. The candidate must have a minimum of TWO years post-qualification experience in a university, research institution, or analogous organization.

Relevant working experience in academic library administration, digital library systems, records management, and information services shall be an advantage.

LIBRARY ASSISTANT/SENIOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT Diploma in Library Studies, Information Studies, Library and Information Science, Archives Administration, or related field.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science shall be

Knowledge of library management systems and digital resources.

5.0 UNIVERSITY HEALTH SERVICES VACANCIES

POSITION QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
MEDICAL OFFICER A candidate seeking appointment as a Medical Officer must be a qualified Medical Officer registered with and in good standing with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council/equivalent professional qualification recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council. The applicant must also have TWO years of post-qualification experience and have a permanent registration with the regulatory body.
STAFF NURSE Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Midwife, Public Health Nurse, or equivalent qualification recognized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.

Must possess a valid practising licence.

Relevant clinical experience shall be an advantage.

6.0 DIRECTORATE OF WORKS AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT VACANCIES.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
DIRECTOR OF WORKS AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT A candidate seeking appointment as the Director of Works and Physical Development must:

Hold a Postgraduate Degree in the relevant area of Specialization and/or Professional Qualification with not less than 15 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field;

Be a Registered and Practicing Member of the relevant Professional Body(ies);

Have handled and completed various Projects of considerable high magnitude and value;

Have proven leadership and management capabilities to lead and coordinate the day-to-day administration of the Office:

Have a considerable degree of initiative in policy formulation and implementation, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good moral conduct and a high sense of honesty and integrity:

Be proactive and have a strong background in industry to be able to contribute towards the implementation of the University’s Corporate Strategic Plan, and have in-depth knowledge of the application of Procurement Law.

The Appointment is Full-time.

Applicants shall be required to serve at least a minimum of FOUR YEARS before attaining the Compulsory Statutory Retirement Age of Sixty (60).

 ESTATE OFFICER/SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR A candidate seeking the position of Estate Officer/Senior must possess;

Master’s Degree in the relevant area of specialization (Architecture/Building Technology/Civil Engineering/Land Economy, etc).

And Final Examinations Certificate of any relevant Professional Body:

Ghana Institute of Architects (GIA):

Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE);

Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS);

Architects Registration Council (ARC);

Institution of Engineering Technicians (IET);

Relevant working experience shall be an advantage.

Engineering Council of Ghana.

The candidate must have served as an Estate Officer/Senior Quantity Surveyor in a University or an equivalent grade in an analogous institution for a minimum of FIVE years.

The appointment, which is tenure, shall be by interview, and the panel shall include an External Assessor where there is a vacancy.

ESTATE ASSISTANT HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Land Economy, Building Technology, Facilities Management, or related field.

Experience in property and facilities management shall be an advantage.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN HND. Technician Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Building Technology, or related field.

Practical maintenance experience shall be an advantage.

SECURITY OFFICER Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Security Studies, Criminology, Public Administration, or related field.

Previous experience in security administration, military, police, or related services shall be an advantage.

 7.0 INTERNAL AUDIT

Position: Senior Internal Auditor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related field; professional qualification (e.g., CIA, ACCA, CA, or ICA) will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant post-qualification experience in auditing, preferably in a university or public sector environment.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control systems.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite,

8.0 FINANCE/INTERNAL AUDIT/PROCUREMENT OFFICE VACANCIES.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
ACCOUNTANT/ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR /PROCUREMENT OFFICER A candidate seeking appointment to the grade of Accountant/Assistant Internal Auditor/Procurement Officer must possess

Final Examination Certificate of any of the following Professional Bodies:

Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA, Ghana);

Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA);

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA);

Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS);

Chartered Institute of Systems Auditors (CISA);

Certified Internal Auditor,

Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS);

And any of the following:

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/SENIOR ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR/SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER A candidate for appointment as Senior Accountant/Senior Assistant Internal Auditor/Senior Procurement Officer must have both a professional qualification and a relevant Master’s Degree as in (a). The candidate must have also served as an Accountant/Assistant Internal Auditor/Procurement Officer with a minimum of FOUR years relevant post-qualification experience in University Administration and/or Management, and also be a member of a professional body.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Applicants must:

Possess a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in the relevant field of specialization.

Have served as Senior Lecturer in a recognized university.

Minimum of FOUR years’ experience as a Senior Lecturer.

Have a strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.

Demonstrate evidence of teaching, research, and community engagement.

SENIOR LECTURER Applicants must:

Possess a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in the relevant area of specialization.

Minimum of FOUR years’ experience as a Lecturer.

Have relevant university teaching and research experience.

Have publications in recognized academic journals.
