Recruitment2026: Ministry of Health Opens Recruitment for the 36th Batch of Medical and Dental Officers.

 

The Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of recruitment for the 36th batch of Medical Officers and Dental Officers who have successfully completed their House Job training and have been duly verified by the Medical and Dental Council.

According to a public announcement issued by the Ministry, the recruitment process will officially begin on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Eligibility for Recruitment.

The exercise is open to Medical Officers and Dentists from the 36th batch who have completed their House Job requirements and received verification from the Medical and Dental Council.

The Ministry also announced that Medical and Dental Officers from the 34th and 35th batches who were previously recruited but failed to report to their assigned posts may participate in the current exercise.

However, their participation will be restricted to vacancies within their originally assigned regions, subject to availability.

Application Process.

Qualified applicants are required to submit their applications through the Ministry’s online recruitment portal:

  • Recruitment Portal: MOH Recruitment Portal 
  • Applicants must log into the portal and follow the instructions provided to complete their applications and select their preferred districts for posting.

Available Vacancies.

The Ministry indicated that available vacancies are currently within the following health institutions:

  • Ghana Health Service (GHS)
  • Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG)
  • Ahmadiyya Muslim Health Service
  • Mental Health Authority

Application Deadline.

  • The Ministry has set Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. as the deadline for submitting applications.

The Ministry reiterated that the recruitment process is transparent and merit-based.

Applicants have been cautioned against individuals who may claim to facilitate recruitment in exchange for money or other forms of payment.

The Ministry stressed that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process and advised applicants to report any fraudulent activities to the appropriate authorities.
