A reputable Food Manufacturing Company located in the Tema Heavy Industrial Area has a vacancy for a CREDIT OFFICER for its Accounts Department. He/she shall report to the Management Accountant.

Job Purpose

• To manage customer credit risk and accounts receivable effectively, ensuring timely collections, supporting strong cash flow, and safeguarding the company against bad debts while maintaining productive relationships with domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend customer credit limits based on financial analysis and risk exposure.
• Monitor credit utilisation and ensure compliance with approved credit terms.
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances.
• Prepare and analyse receivables aging reports and credit exposure summaries.
• Evaluate customer financial statements, bank references, and trade references.
• Recommend risk mitigation measures. such as revised credit limits and advance payment terms.
• Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Finance matters. teams on credit-related

Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Professional Certification

• Professional certification is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 25 years’ relevant experience in banking, credit control, accounts receivable, or financial analysis.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills
• Excellent understanding of accounts receivable management
• Knowledge of trade finance instruments and export documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
