Controller and Accountant-General’s Department’s 2026 Salary Payment Schedule.
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has released the salary payment schedule for 2026, detailing when civil servants, Ghana Education Service (GES) staff, and other public sector employees will receive their monthly salaries.
In a circular dated October 23, 2025, and signed by the Department’s management, the CAGD announced that salaries and wages for all public sector workers paid through its system will be credited to their respective bank accounts on the dates indicated below.

According to the notice, banks will begin crediting employees’ accounts on the specified dates, ensuring timely and consistent payment throughout the year.
The CAGD further stated that any future changes to the payment schedule will be duly communicated to all government institutions and employees.
The circular, referenced CAGD/PPD/1124/0471 and numbered T242/25, applies to civil servants, GES employees, and all other public servants whose salaries are processed and paid through the Controller and Accountant-General’s payroll system.
Employees are advised to take note of the payment dates and plan their monthly financial commitments accordingly.
