The Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG), a reputable institution committed to excellence in holistic education, invites qualified and experienced developers, contractors, and investors to submit ‘Expressions of Interest’ for the design, financing, and construction of its Asante Akyem campus in Agogo, Ashanti Region.
This initiative forms part of the University’s strategic expansion plan to address the growing student population and enhance the quality of campus life by providing safe, comfortable, and conducive accommodation.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
To develop a well-equipped hostel complex that will:
- Provide affordable and secure accommodation for students.
- Alleviate the current accommodation deficit in and around the Asante Akyem Campus, Agogo.
- Create an integrated living-learning environment that supports student welfare and academic success.
- Foster a public-private partnership (PPP) model for sustainable infrastructure development.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
The proposed project may include, but is not limited to:
- Construction of a multi-storey hostel block(s) with significant occupancy capacity.
- Fully furnished rooms (single/double occupancy options).
- Common areas (common rooms, study rooms, kitchenettes).
- Amenities: 24/7 security, wired/wireless internet, laundry facilities, etc.
- Utilities: Reliable water supply, electricity, sewage, and waste management systems.
- Adherence to green building principles and local building regulations.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Interested parties should submit detailed profiles demonstrating capability and experience, including:
- Company Profile, Certificate of Incorporation, and Valid Business Registration.
- Evidence of Financial Capacity and Banking Support.
- Relevant Experience: Portfolio of similar completed projects (especially in educational or large-scale residential buildings), with references and photographic evidence.
- Proposed Project Approach and Potential Financing Model.
- Tax Clearance Certificate, SSNIT Clearance Certificate, and VAT Registration.
- Registration with the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) and relevant professional bodies (GREDA, etc.).
- Contact details of Directors/Key Personnel.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Expressions of Interest must be submitted in hard copy in sealed envelopes marked:
