Applications are invited for a PhD fellowship/scholarship at the Graduate School of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark, within the mathematics programme.
The position is available from May 2026 or later.

Research area and project description:
- The position is funded by a Villum Investigator Grant and will be part of the research group led by Professor Fabrice Baudoin.
Research Area.
The successful candidate will work in Riemannian geometry and related areas.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Geometric analysis on Riemannian manifolds
- Curvature and comparison geometry on Riemannian foliations
- Heat kernel methods and diffusion processes on manifolds
- Interactions between geometry, analysis, and probability
The precise research direction will be shaped jointly by the PhD student and the professor. Baudoin, in accordance with the goals of the Villum Investigator project.
Qualifications and specific competences:
Applicants should hold (or be close to completing) a Master’s degree in Mathematics with a strong background in:
- Differential geometry
- Riemannian geometry and/or geometric analysis
- Experience in related areas such as partial differential equations, probability on manifolds, or geometric measure theory will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong motivation for research are essential.
