- Hold an Offer of Admission: Receive provisional or unconditional admission to a Master’s program at the University of Groningen before February 2026.
- Demonstrate Academic Excellence: Have a proven record of high academic achievement, supported by excellent grades and recommendation letters.
- Meet English Proficiency Standards: Fulfill the English language requirements (such as IELTS or TOEFL) for the chosen program.
- Be in Good Health: Required to qualify for health insurance in the Netherlands.
- Show Financial Need: Must not have any other means to finance the Master’s studies.
- Be Fully Available: Commit to attending the entire program duration (1 or 2 years).
- Hold Eligible Nationality: Must be a national of one of the developing countries listed by the university.

Application Process and Deadline
- Applicants cannot apply directly for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship.
- Instead, the University of Groningen Admission Office and faculty selection committees identify and nominate top candidates based on academic excellence and eligibility.
