The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has released the 2026/2027 Academic Calendar for all public Colleges of Education in Ghana.
The calendar, dated August 14, 2026, has been issued to guide the planning and implementation of academic activities across the public Colleges of Education.
In a letter addressed to the relevant stakeholders, the PRINCOF Secretariat said the calendar should serve as the basis for planning academic activities for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The calendar outlines reporting dates, macro teaching, semester periods, vacation periods and examination dates for students at Levels 100, 200, 300 and 400.

Level 400 Students to Begin Macro Teaching in September
According to the calendar, Level 400 students will be the first group to resume academic activities for the new academic year.
They are expected to report to their respective Colleges on September 7, 2026, for orientation towards Macro Teaching.
Four days later, on September 11, 2026, the students will report to their assigned schools or stations to commence their Macro Teaching.
The Macro Teaching period is scheduled to end on February 20, 2027.
First Semester for Levels 100, 200 and 300
Students at Levels 100, 200 and 300 are scheduled to report to campus on October 12, 2026, for the first session of the first semester.
The first session will run for 10 weeks before students break for the Christmas holidays on December 19, 2026.
They will return to campus on January 11, 2027, to continue the second session of the first semester, which will last for four weeks.
The first semester examinations are scheduled for January 25 to February 5, 2027.
Following the examinations, students at Levels 100, 200 and 300 will proceed on vacation from February 6, 2027.
Second Semester for Levels 100, 200 and 300
The second semester will commence on March 22, 2027, with students at Levels 100, 200, 300 and 400 reporting to campus.
The second semester is scheduled to run for 14 weeks.
End-of-semester examinations for all four levels will take place from June 14 to June 25, 2027.
Students at Levels 100, 200, 300 and 400 will subsequently go home for vacation on June 26, 2027.
PRINCOF has encouraged Colleges of Education and other stakeholders to use the approved calendar as a guide in planning and coordinating academic activities throughout the 2026/2027 academic year.
