The school is seeking to appoint to the following positions:
#01. Security Officer/ CCTV Operator
- The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Safety and Security Manager to maintain and enhance security operations and services at the school.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of the school (students, staff, parents, and other members of the community) while on campus or in any other school facility.
- Conduct day and night security patrols of the school premises and school residential homes as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure maximum security and safety of school premises during patrols and surveillance.
- Observe diligently and report any irregularities or breaches of security through the appropriate channels.
- Guard the entry to the school premises diligently and ensure all visitors to the campus meet all laid-down security checks.
- Operate and use the school’s CCTV systems as and when required to enhance the security of the campus.
- Control school traffic and parking within laid-down procedures. Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained at all times.
Person Specification:
- A minimum of five years of previous security officer experience.
- A minimum of three years of operating and using CCTV systems (to be tested).
- Proven ability to work effectively with local law enforcement representatives.
- Ability to read and write proficiently (to be tested).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Qualification/training in security (essential).
- Qualification/training in CCTV operations (desirable).
- Clean valid driving license (Class C).
Conditions of work:
- You will be required to work outside normal working hours, including weekends and night work.
- You will be required to work on a shift system.
- Tasks are regularly performed with some risk of exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, traffic hazards and possible violence.
#02. Custodian/Handy Man
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Facilities and Operations Manager and will be dependable, skilled, and service-oriented.
The post holder will maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning campus.
The position combines custodial duties with general maintenance and repair responsibilities to ensure that the school facilities and grounds remain in excellent condition.
Custodial Duties:
- Arrangement of furniture, equipment, and other accessories for set-ups for formal functions.
- Allocation/distribution of and keeping records on sanitary materials for use in the washrooms.
- Requisitions for sanitary material, paper cups and items for set-ups.
- Assists in verification of sanitary materials purchased/supplied.
- Portage of new and used furniture, equipment and other items.
- Assistance to staff in moving to new residences and offices.
Maintenance and Handyman Duties
- Perform minor repairs, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report major maintenance concerns.
- Assist with preventive maintenance of school buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Support facilities projects and campus improvement initiatives. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and departments.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with school procedures.
Person Specification:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a handyman/custodian in an institution.
- Technical or vocational training in building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or a related field (desirable).
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and write proficiently (to be tested).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, custodial services, or general handyman work.
Conditions of work:
- You will be required to work outside normal working hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Tasks are regularly performed with some risk of exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, traffic hazards, and possible violence.
- The role requires regular lifting and bending.
- The compensation package for both positions is competitive; salary will depend on relevant experience and qualifications.
#03. Independent Speech and Language Therapist
The Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for providing individualized and small-group therapy to enhance speech, language, and communication development for students from Pre-K through to Grade 12.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and social communication abilities using standardized and informal assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct therapy services in both one-to-one and small group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students with diverse needs
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and provide strategies for home practice
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of individualized learning plans
- Support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Stay current with evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
- Provide training and guidance to teachers and teaching assistants on supporting students with communication needs
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities
Qualifications & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Valid license/certification in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Minimum of three years of experience working with children ages 3-18 in educational settings
- Knowledge of developmental speech and language milestones and disorders
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
- Understanding of international education environments (preferred)
- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with technology and digital tools such as Google, Word documents, Excel, and AAC devices
- Training in specific therapeutic approaches (e.g., PROMPT, V&V, etc.)
Working Hours, Schedule, and Contract Conditions
- Employed on an independent contractor basis.
- Position following the academic calendar (August – June)
- Starting at 3 days a week and up to 5 days (full-time) based on the case load (Monday – Friday).
