Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment as Assistant Lecturers / Lecturers / Senior Lecturers / Associate Professors / Professors to the following Departments:
- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Physician Assistantship
Responsibilities.
- Provide academic instruction to students in courses assigned
- Undertake research/publications in areas of academic interest
- Undertake an effective assessment of students’ academic performance
- Supervise students’ research
- Serve as a mentor/counsellor to students.
Personal Qualities.
- Must have credible scholarly credentials in teaching, research, and publication
- Must exhibit a high sense of work ethic and diligence
- Must have proven capacity to motivate and inspire staff and students
- Must demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership
Qualification Required & Experience.
- A candidate seeking appointment as an Assistant Lecturer should hold an MPhil in any of the disciplines stated above
- A candidate seeking appointment as a Lecturer should hold a PhD in any of the disciplines stated above, OR
- Is already a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in the related discipline and holds a PhD
- Candidates applying for Nursing and Midwifery must have an active Pin Number from the relevant professional bodies
- Must have a considerable number of years of teaching and research experience at a university or a comparable institution
