This prestigious global program supports women scientists and engineers from developing and emerging countries to pursue a PhD or postdoctoral research in leading universities abroad.
The program empowers women to become strong leaders in STEM and to drive socio-economic progress in their home countries.
The Schlumberger Foundation is an independent non-profit organization committed to advancing gender equality in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Through the Faculty for the Future Fellowship, the foundation funds outstanding women from low- and middle-income countries to pursue advanced research degrees abroad.
Established in 2004, the program has built a powerful international network of women researchers, mentors, and educators who are transforming science and education systems worldwide.

For the 2026 fellowship cycle, the foundation is particularly interested in candidates from the following academic disciplines:
- Physical Sciences
- Engineering

To be eligible for the Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a woman from a low- or middle-income country (as classified by the World Bank).
- Be pursuing a PhD or postdoctoral research in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Be enrolled, admitted, or have applied to a university or research institute outside their home country.
- Have an excellent academic record and demonstrate high research potential.
- Show commitment to returning to their home country after completing their studies to contribute to its socio-economic development.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities, community engagement, and a track record of promoting women and girls in STEM.
