USA Duke University Karsh International Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded).
The Karsh International Scholarship at Duke University is one of the most prestigious opportunities for international students seeking undergraduate education in the United States.
Established in 2010 through a generous donation from Martha L. and Bruce A. Karsh, the scholarship is designed to recognize and support exceptional international scholars who demonstrate academic excellence, civic engagement, leadership potential, and financial need.
Degree Level
- The Karsh International Scholarship is available for students applying to undergraduate degree programs at Duke University.
Available Subjects
- Scholars may choose from a wide range of undergraduate programs offered at Duke University.
- Previous Karsh Scholars have pursued fields such as Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Global Studies, and more.
Selected students receive:
- Full coverage of tuition, room, and board.
- Mandatory fees and additional demonstrated financial need beyond standard costs.
- Funding for three summers to support academic research, unpaid internships, and career development opportunities.
- Access to mentorship, leadership programs, and engagement with a diverse network of scholars from across the globe.
Eligible Nationalities
- The scholarship is open to students from all countries outside the United States. However, applicants who hold dual U.S./other citizenship are not eligible.
To be considered for the Karsh International Scholarship, applicants must:
- Apply as international students (non-U.S. citizens).
- Demonstrate strong academic preparation and leadership qualities.
- Show documented financial need by completing Duke’s financial aid application.
- Be first-year undergraduate applicants (students who already hold a B.A. or B.S. are not eligible).
- Apply to Duke University by the admission deadlines.
There is no separate application for the Karsh International Scholarship. To be considered:
- Apply to Duke University through the standard undergraduate admission process.
- Indicate financial need and submit the required financial aid forms (CSS Profile, FAFSA if applicable, and supporting documents).
- Duke’s Office of University Scholars and Fellows will automatically consider eligible candidates.
Application Deadline
- For students applying to the Karsh International Scholars Program for Fall 2026 entry, Early Decision applicants must complete and submit the CSS Profile by November 4, 2025. Regular Decision applicants are required to submit the CSS Profile and the FAFSA if applicable, no later than February 1, 2026.
