University of Lausanne Scholarship 2026: Fully Funded Master’s Degree Scholarship in Switzerland.
Each year, UNIL awards around ten merit-based scholarships to exceptional candidates from abroad.
The aim is to support academic excellence and promote international mobility at the postgraduate level.

Eligible Master’s Programs at UNIL
You can apply for any Master’s degree offered by UNIL, except the following:
- Master’s from the School of Medicine
- Master of Education
- Master of Laws from the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne
- Master of Criminal Law, Magistracy specialization
- Master of Science in Physical Education and Sports Didactics
- Master of Science in Health Sciences
- All MAS (Master of Advanced Studies) and PhD programs
- Only two specializations in the Master of Laws International and Comparative Law and Legal Theory are eligible for the University of Lausanne Scholarship 2026.

University of Lausanne Scholarship 2026 Benefits
Recipients of the UNIL Master’s Scholarship will receive:
- CHF 1,600 per month for 10 months a year
- Funding for the full statutory duration of the program (up to 2 years)
- Exemption from fixed registration fees, except for a CHF 80 fee per semester
Note:
- This amount may not fully cover living expenses in Switzerland.
- Applicants are encouraged to check UNIL’s estimated student budget guide before applying.
University of Lausanne Scholarship 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Lausanne Master’s Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a graduate of a foreign university (outside Switzerland)
- Have excellent academic performance
- Not previously enrolled at UNIL
Meet the language requirements:
- French or English (minimum B2 level on the CEFR scale)
- Have obtained or are in the process of obtaining a degree equivalent to a Swiss Bachelor’s degree before the start of the Master’s
- Pay a CHF 200.00 administration fee
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Completed and signed the application form
- Passport-sized photo (JPEG format)
- Certified copies of academic degrees and transcripts
- Copy of secondary school diploma
- Translation of documents (if not in English, French, German, or Italian)
- Program description from the final semester of the Bachelor’s (if ongoing)
- Copy of passport or national ID
- Cover letter
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Official language proficiency certificate (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, DELF, DALF)
- Two academic recommendation letters (sealed)
- Proof of CHF 200.00 payment (application processing fee)
