SCHOLARSHIP DURATION

  • The duration of doctoral degree programs typically takes 4 years.

To qualify for the HIT China Government Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a non-Chinese citizen in good physical and mental health.
  • Comply with Chinese laws and HIT regulations.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under 35 for Master’s programs, or hold a Master’s degree and be under 40 for Doctoral programs.

Language proficiency:

  • Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 ≥180 (or proof of prior Chinese-taught education)
  • English-taught programs: TOEFL ≥80 or IELTS ≥6.0 (or proof of English-taught education)

Documents to Apply for Admission at HIT on Chinese Government Scholarship

APPLICATION PROCESS

Apply via the CSC Portal

  • While completing the application, choose Program Category: Type B, which corresponds to university-based programs.
  • You must also enter the Agency Number for Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT): 10213, which identifies HIT as your host institution.
  • Once the online form is completed, download and save the CSC Application Form, as it will be required for the next stage of submission.

Pay the Application Fee

  • After completing the CSC application, pay the non-refundable application fee of CNY 400 or USD 60 through bank transfer.
  • This fee must be sent to HIT’s designated bank account as mentioned in the official instructions.
  • It is essential to include your full passport name and passport number on the remittance voucher to ensure your payment is properly recorded and matched with your application.

Upload Materials to the HIT Online Portal

  • Once the payment is completed, applicants must log in to the HIT Application System at https://hit.at0086.cn/student student to finalize their application.
  • Here, you will need to upload the completed CSC Application Form along with all other required supporting documents, such as transcripts, recommendation letters, study plans, and language certificates.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

  • The application officially opens on November 1, 2025.
  • The first-stage deadline for submission is December 31, 2025.
  • The second-stage deadline is February 20, 2026.
