University for Development Studies (UDS) Opens Admission for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes for 2026/2027 Academic Year.
The University for Development Studies (UDS) has announced the opening of applications for admission into its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
According to the University, the sale of admission forms will commence on Friday, January 16, 2026, and is open to qualified applicants across the country.
Application Fees and Sale of E-Vouchers.
Prospective applicants are required to purchase an official UDS e-voucher to apply online.
The approved application fees are:
- Undergraduate programmes: GH¢200
- Postgraduate programmes: GH¢250
E-vouchers will be available at eight designated banks nationwide.
Applicants are advised to obtain vouchers only from approved outlets and verify all details before proceeding with the application.
Banks Where UDS E-Vouchers Can Be Obtained.
UDS e-vouchers will be sold at eight designated banks across the country, including:
- Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB)
- Agricultural Development Bank (ADB)
- Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG)
- Ecobank Ghana
- Zenith Bank
- Prudential Bank
- Republic Bank
- Stanbic Bank
Applicants are advised to obtain vouchers only from these approved banks.

Admission Criteria
Applicants seeking admission into undergraduate programmes must possess acceptable WASSCE, SSSCE, or equivalent qualifications, in line with UDS admission requirements.
Candidates writing the May/June 2026 WASSCE are eligible to apply as Awaiting Results applicants, subject to meeting the required grades upon release of results.
Postgraduate applicants must hold a recognised first degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the programme being applied for, in accordance with university regulations.

- UDS has indicated that all applicants admitted into Level 100 programmes under the Faculty of Sustainable Development Studies will be placed at the Eastern Campus, Yendi.
How to Apply.
Applicants are to follow these steps to complete the application process:
Mode of Application for Domestic (Ghanaian) Applicants.
All Ghanaian applicants for admission are required to use the UDS online application portal. The procedure for the online application process is as follows:
- Make a payment of GH¢ 200.00 (Two Hundred Ghana Cedis) for Undergraduate E-Voucher or GH¢ 250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis) for Postgraduate E-Voucher at any Stanbic Bank, GCB Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), National Investment Bank (NIB), Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, and Ecobank branches throughout the country.
OR
- Visit the UDS online payment portal at pay.uds.edu.gh with a Master Card or Visa Card to make an online payment of GHC200.00 (Two Hundred Ghana Cedis) for the undergraduate e-Voucher or GHC250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis) for the postgraduate e-Voucher. Print the advice slip for future reference.
- The E-Voucher contains the PIN and Serial Number required for the completion of the online form.
- Access the online form by visiting our online admissions portal at admissions.uds.edu.gh soon after payment.
- In completing the online form, applicants will be required to upload their most recent passport-size photographs with a white background and relevant certificates. Applicants who use objects instead of their own photographs would be disqualified.
- A completed form will not be considered for admission unless it is SUBMITTED after accepting our Data Confirmation Policy
- Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before finally submitting their online applications. A form, once submitted, can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.
- Candidates are strongly advised to visit any EMS Office in the Country for assistance with the return of the application documents. Applicants are advised not to post the forms themselves. They should seek the advice and services of Ghana Post EMS.
- Undergraduate applicants must print out the application summary; attach results slips, certificates, and all other relevant documents. These documents should be submitted in triplicate (three copies each) to the Head (Academic Affairs Department).
- Postgraduate applicants must print out three copies of the application summary; attach results slips, certificates, and all other relevant documents to each form. Three reference letters are also required (at least two of the referees should be familiar with the applicant’s academic work).
- Applicants should also scan all the documents: a signed copy of the application form, results slip, certificates, any valid national ID card, and all supporting documents, and send them to the following email address: admissions@uds.edu.gh.

- In completing the online form, applicants will be required to upload their passport-sized photographs and certificates
- A completed form is not considered until it is SUBMITTED
- Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before they finally submit their online applications. A form, once submitted, can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.
- Print out application summary; attach results slips, certificates, and all other relevant documents. These documents should be submitted in triplicate (Three copies each) to the Head (Academic & Students’ Affairs).
