Recruitment into the Internal Security Agencies: Aptitude Test Guidelines, Dates, Categories, and Pass Mark.

Applicants are hereby notified that the 2025/26 Centralised Recruitment Aptitude Test will be conducted online.

Applicants are to prepare adequately and to note that the exam is best taken on a computer system with webcam & microphone functionality.

The test will be conducted in category lots in the following order:

A. NVTI/JHS/SPORTSMEN/CERTIFICATE

B. HND/DEGREE/MASTERS

WASSCE

Category “A” applicants, as shown above, will be required to answer 30 questions.

Category “B” & “C” applicants will be required to answer 60 questions.

NB:

Category “A” applicants will be further subjected to a trade test based on their selected trade vacancies.

The PASS mark for the test is 65%.

Date/Timelines for the various Categories

Applicants are to note that the Aptitude Test will be conducted from Tue, 10th – February to Sunday, 22nd February 2026.

Timelines for the various Categories are as follows:

A. NVTI/JHS/SPORTSMEN/OTHER CERTS: Tuesday, 10th, Friday, 13th February 2026.

B. HND/DEGREE/MASTERS: Saturday, 14th, Tuesday, 17th February 2026.

C. WASSCE: Wednesday 18th – Sunday, 22nd February 2026

NOTE:

  • All applicants within the above categories across all the Services are requested to visit their portals within the above specified dates per category to assess the link to the aptitude test.
  • SMS’s will be sent to all qualified applicants to reiterate the test availability period as shown above.
  • Applicants who applied to multiple Services will be required to take the test only once, except for an applicant who applied to different categories across different Services/Agencies.

Applicants are to note the following for a seamless Online Aptitude Test Process.

a. The link to the test will be made available to the applicants via the applicant’s portal on the specified dates per category.

b. For the best experience, applicants are to use actual computers with Webcam & Microphone capabilities.

c. Applicants will go through an enrollment stage once they click on the “Start Test” button.

This enrollment test will check and confirm the following:

  • Calibrate the webcam, test its liveness, and confirm the identity of the test taker.
  • Check Internet Strength & Noise levels around the applicant.

d. Applicants are expected to maintain focus and align their faces in line with the calibrated posture throughout the exam.

e. The entire exam is deployed with enhanced AI proctoring features, including session recording and random snapshots to detect any malpractices.

Applicants are to note the following during the Test Session:

  • The test cannot be closed/stopped/saved once the applicant starts the test.
  • The Test will be automatically submitted once the allotted time elapses.
  • Answers must be provided to each question before proceeding to other questions.
  • Any attempts to have a different person other than the applicant take the test will be detected, and sanctions will be applied.
  • Applicants are to ensure they have a strong internet connection before taking the test. The test requires a mandatory internet strength test, after which the applicant can decide to take the test at a later time when internet connectivity is good enough.
  • Applicants are to keep their faces aligned in the proctoring frame for the entire test duration or risk being disqualified.
