  • The Oregon State University Graduate Scholarship is designed for a PhD student passionate about ecological conservation and quantitative modeling.
  • The selected scholar will lead research on spatially explicit decision models to support conservation of at-risk species on Department of Defense (DoD) lands.

Research Highlights:

Oregon State University Scholarship Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Master’s degree (M.S.) in ecology, wildlife biology, conservation biology, environmental science, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in statistical programming (R, Python, or MATLAB).
  • Have experience in spatial analysis and GIS.
  • Possess strong quantitative, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities and teamwork capacity.
