Ministry of Health (MoH) Opens Admissions for Six Specialised Nursing Programmes.
The Ministry of Health has opened admissions into six post-basic specialised nursing programmes at health training institutions across the country, with applications running from March 3 to March 26, 2026.
According to a press statement issued on Wednesday, March 4, the programmes are linked to the government’s Ghana Medical Trust Fund, known as MahamaCares, and the Ghana Labour Exchange Programme. The Ministry said the expansion is aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery in support of the two initiatives.
The areas of specialisation include:
- Critical Care Nursing,
- Emergency Nursing,
- Cardiology Nursing,
- Nephrology Nursing,
- Endocrinology Nursing,
- Oncology Nursing.

Requirements.
- Applicants should be medically fit and not more than 40 years old.
- Passion for a specialized area of nursing care and commitment to serve in Ghana’s health system
- Diploma in Registered General Nursing,
- Diploma in Midwifery and Registered Mental Health Nursing.
- Completed one-year Mandatory Rotation/Internship/National Service
- Two (2) years of work experience in an area of interest (Public or Private Sector)
- You must possess a valid Personal Identification Number (PIN) from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

- Applications are to be submitted online via the Ministry’s portal at https://register.healthtraining.gov.gh at a fee of GH¢150.
- After payment, applicants will receive a voucher with a unique PIN and serial number to complete and track their application.
- Applicants should provide a dedicated phone number and a valid personal e-mail address for all correspondence.
- Applicants must provide their residential address and Ghana Post Digital Address during the application process.
- Visit https://register.healthtraining.gov.gh, use the PIN and serial number to access the online application form.
- You will be required to upload scanned copies of your academic and professional certificates.
- The application form is accessible only with the provided PIN and serial number. Carefully follow the instructions and complete all relevant stages of the application process. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided on the portal to complete the online application. The PIN and Serial Number will also be required for tracking the status of your application.

Duration:
- The programme will run for four semesters, and successful candidates will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree by the University of Cape Coast.
