The Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity is a unique merit-based scholarship in the United States designed for students who think differently, solve problems creatively, and bring original ideas to life.
Unlike traditional academic scholarships, this award recognizes innovation, originality, and creative problem-solving, whether in science, technology, art, or everyday life.
The scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and is open to outstanding high school seniors and first-time college freshmen.

Undergraduate:

Available Subjects.
There is no restriction on academic majors. The scholarship focuses on how you think and solve problems, not what you study.
Eligible innovation areas include:
- Science & Technology
- Engineering & Design
- Arts & Creative Media
- Social Innovation & Community Solutions
- Practical or Family-Based Problem Solving
Selected Milton Fisher Scholars receive:
- Annual award ranging from $4,000 to $20,000
- Renewable for up to 4 years
- Total funding can reach up to $80,000
- Funds can be used toward tuition, fees, and education-related expenses
Who Should Apply?
You should apply for the Milton Fisher Scholarship if you are a student who has:
- Solved an artistic, scientific, or technical problem in a new or unusual way
- Created an innovative solution to a challenge faced by:

Note: High GPAs and test scores are not the primary focus; creativity matters more.
Eligibility Criteria.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a high school senior or first-time college freshman
- Be pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Demonstrate innovation and creative problem-solving
- Be willing to clearly explain their idea or solution in the application
- Submit the application by May 15
