Hold one of these eligible visas:
- Bridging Visa ‘E’ (V050)
- Temporary Protection Visa (V785)
- Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (V790)
- Temporary Humanitarian Concern Visa (V786)
Not eligible:
- Bridging Visa ‘A’ holders
- International students on standard Student Visas
Applicants must also demonstrate:
- Evidence of financial hardship (e.g., Health Care Card, Youth Allowance, or bank statements)
- A strong record of community involvement or leadership potential
- A commitment to future contributions in their chosen field
The selection panel evaluates applications based on:
- A 300-word personal statement describing community engagement, leadership skills, and how the scholarship will help achieve educational and career goals
- A reference letter, dated within the past 12 months, supporting the personal statement
- Evidence of financial hardship to verify need
- Preference for applicants who have completed a Vocational Education program at Swinburne
Eligible Countries
- This scholarship is open only to asylum seekers, refugees, and humanitarian visa holders currently residing in Australia.
- International students on standard Student Visas are not eligible.
