FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund (USD $50,000 – $250,000): Now Open for Global Applications.
The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is now accepting applications from grassroots, community-based organizations worldwide.
This global grant opportunity provides a USD $50,000 to $250,000 grant to support initiatives that expand access to quality education and sport for children in underserved communities across all regions and countries, provided the organization is legally registered in the country of implementation.
The Fund aims to remove barriers to learning, strengthen educational infrastructure, and promote inclusive education through the power of sport.
ELIGIBLE APPLICATION TYPES.
Organizations may apply for:
- General Operating Support, or
- Cultural Exchange Programs
- Program/Project Support
ELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS
- Community-based, legally registered nonprofit organizations
- Serving between 500 and 10,000 individuals
- Based in any country or continent (global eligibility)
Grant Range
- USD $50,000 to $250,000
- Request must be less than 50% of the organization’s annual budget for the grant year
One-Time Funding
- This is a one-year, one-time grant. Recipients cannot reapply in future cycles.
Number of Grants
- Approximately 150 organizations will receive funding under Cycle I (2026).
APPLICATION PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS
Reporting
Selected organizations must submit:
- A mid-term report, and
- A final report at the end of the grant cycle
Screening.
- Shortlisted applicants may be invited to meet with Fund officials.
LANGUAGE ACCESS.
- Application is currently available in English
- Organizations may submit in their native language
- Additional language versions will be released soon
Confirmation of Receipt
- Applicants will receive confirmation after submission.
- Fund staff may follow up before December 31, 2025, if clarification is needed.
Submission Limit
- Only one application per organization is allowed.

Removing Barriers to Learning.
- Financial inclusion for children facing economic hardship
- Improving educational infrastructure
- Inclusive learning for girls and children with disabilities
- Strong child safeguarding measures
Organizational and Legal Requirements.
- Must be a legally registered nonprofit in the country of implementation
- Must directly implement the activities proposed
Financial Responsibility
- Demonstrated financial stability
- At least three years of audited or certified financial statements

- Urgency and scale of the educational challenge
- Equity and outreach to historically marginalized groups
- Socioeconomic vulnerability of the community
- Geographic diversity, especially in underserved regions
- Implementation feasibility and organizational capacity

- Scalability and long-term sustainability
- Community ownership and participation

- Applications Open: October 27, 2025
- Applications Close: December 31, 2025
- Award Notifications: Early February 2026
Is this the only call for submissions to the grant?
- No, there will be more open calls for submissions in 2026.
- Although, if you do receive a grant, you will not be eligible to apply again.
